  • Join the M61 southbound from Bolton
  • Follow M61 to where it merges with the M60 westbound (Worsley)
  • Follow M60 westbound to J12 (Eccles / A57), exit and head west
  • Turn right onto Barton Road — aerodrome entrance on the left

From Farnworth / Kearsley

  • Head south to join the M61 or pick up the M60 at J15 (Worsley)
  • Follow M60 westbound to J12 (Eccles)
  • Exit onto A57 westbound, turn right onto Barton Road
  • Barton Aerodrome entrance on the left
